Piano is the first in Digital Analytics to achieve a GDPR certification through Europrivacy ™ᐟ®
Piano Analytics and its support services have officially attained a European Data Protection Seal with EuroprivacyTM/® certification, making us the first in the Digital Analytics sector and one of the first ten organizations globally to achieve this recognition. This milestone reflects our continued focus on helping clients operate with trust, transparency and compliance – without compromise.
What is Europrivacy certification
Europrivacy is a GDPR certification scheme developed under Article 42 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and approved by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB). It is one of the most stringent, independently audited certifications available, and is officially recognized by all 30 Member States of the EU and EEA.
Achieving the certification
The certification was delivered by DNV, an accredited, independent certification body specializing in data protection and information security. DNV conducted a comprehensive audit of Piano Analytics and its support services to evaluate the certified data processing activities, review compliance documentation, conduct technical assessments and operational audits.
What this means
This certificate offers meaningful advantages to organizations that rely on Piano Analytics to manage their data with confidence.
Verified GDPR compliance: Independent certification that the data processing covered by the ToE meets strict GDPR requirements
Reduced legal and operational risk: Third-party audits support the data controller’s accountability
Aligned with ISO standards: Security controls assessed in line with ISO 27001 principles
Assurance for partners and regulators: Credibility that privacy, compliance and transparency are built into our analytics infrastructure
Why it matters
Privacy regulations continue to evolve rapidly on a global scale. Certification provides independent credibility and assurance that our solutions not only meet compliance standards but go beyond them to protect personal data with integrity, ethics and accountability.
A word from our Digital Ethics Officer
"Achieving Europrivacy certification TM/® reflects the deep work our team has done to embed privacy, ethics, and compliance by design into the foundation of Piano Analytics. Passing the audit on the Europrivacy scheme confirms that these principles are not just aspirational, but that they’re operational. This is a recognition we’re proud to share with our clients and partners."
